Need a reason to celebrate? Horseradish just named 2011 herb of the year by the International Herb Association

Clearly, this is the only excuse you need to head directly, I say, directly to Lit Italian Wine Bar. That’s where the new chef, Austen Neil,  has fresh-grated horseradish root on the menu, served alongside fresh Malpeque oysters. Squeeze of lemon, pinch of horseradish, and then firmly grasp the oyster shell and slide the slippery morsel into your mouth. Summer in the city.
